A unique community of women
The International Women’s Club is free and open to women and their preschool children, whether CSU students, scholars, or spouses, both international and American. The group helps international women adjust to living in Fort Collins and the U.S. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for women from various cultures, countries, or religions. We also foster friendships across cultures and develop respect for and understanding of world diversity. The group has a membership of around 30 women.
When? Friday mornings, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Where? Aggie Village Family Center, Building 24
We usually meet to enjoy a cup of hot tea and snacks and to have wonderful conversations with the members of the club.
We also organize various social and educational programs according to the interests and needs of the members. For example, we have cooking classes, arts and crafts, have visited local festivals and theaters, celebrate birthdays and baby showers, learn about American holidays and customs from other countries, and have had presentations on topics such as stress management, meditation, health during pregnancy, and culture shock.
We also help each other by offering support and advice.
Meetings are not held during CSU’s winter break, and may be less frequent in the summer break.
New members are welcome to join us.
