The International Women’s Club is free and open to women and their preschool children, whether CSU students, scholars, or spouses, both international and American. The group helps international women adjust to living in Fort Collins and the U.S. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for women from various cultures, countries, or religions. We also foster friendships across cultures and develop respect for and understanding of world diversity. The group has a membership of around 30 women.

In-person classes will be held Monday mornings from 9:30-11am. The group will meet in Aggie Family Community Room (by Building #24). FCIC offers free conversational English classes to the CSU and Fort Collins communities. Classes are offered weekly throughout the year and provide help with language skills, insight into American customs, and a place to share cultural experiences. Classes are open to anyone in the international community. Prior registration is not necessary. We ask that you do not bring your children. If you cannot find childcare, please bring quiet toys children can play with while classes are in session. The key to the success and longevity of these classes is lots of laughter, fun singing American songs, and lively discussions about grammar, idioms, and comparative cultures.

Virtual classes will be held the first Thursday morning of each month from 9:30-11am. For the remainder of the month, in-person classes will be held at University Village 1600.

Join FCIC for a hike to Soapstone Prairie in Colorado. The hike is about 5 miles (8 kilometers) with approximately 603 feet (184 meters) elevation gain.

Meet at International House at 8am. Return to International House by 6pm (18:00). May return sooner if weather turns.

Required Equipment: Comfortable hiking shoes, water bottle, and lunch. We recommend dressing in layers. Please check the weather and dress accordingly. We also suggest bringing sunscreen and a hat and/or sunglasses. 

Cost: $10 for transport
