Since 1959, the Fort Collins International Center (FCIC) has been a non-profit volunteer organization. FCIC depends on membership dues and fundraisers to provide opportunities for students and communities around the world to come together for international understanding, cultural exchange, and friendship.
Memberships run from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31. All dues are 100% tax-deductible.
We are a community-supported 501(c)(3) organization. Our organization continues solely through membership fees, fundraisers, and most importantly the generosity of those who donate.
Donations may also be made by filling out the membership form and indicating that you are making an additional donation to support our programs and mail to the address indicated on the form.

Thank you for considering the Fort Collins International Center as a recipient of your charitable gift. We recognize what an important decision it is in selecting an organization with which to make your contributions. We promise to be good stewards of the money you donate.
The Fort Collins International Center (in conjunction with the Office of International Programs) currently has 2 emergency fund accounts, which are used to help the CSU international community in times of severe economic need. Information about each fund, and how to contribute to them, is below:
- Jim Graham
- Roy Mongelli International Student and Scholar Support Endowment:
A contribution made as a Memorial or Tribute can be an unforgettable way to honor a loved one, or a special occasion. What better way to celebrate a life, an anniversary, or commemorate a remarkable era in your life and make a difference.
Many companies give to charities on an annual basis and encourage their employees to show the same philanthropic attitude. In addition, some companies will offer a match to an employee’s gift, possibly doubling the gift received by the organization. Please contact your employer’s Human Resource department and inquire about a matching gift program. Who knows, maybe you will start a trend that pays your generosity forward!
Your generosity can continue in an extraordinary way by remembering the Fort Collins International Center in your will. A charitable bequest in your will or revocable living trust can help ensure a valuable estate tax deduction. You can choose to give cash, personal or real estate property, or a portion of the estate’s value. Please consult your financial advisor with questions and for further information.
Each year, FCIC participates in the World Unity Fair by hosting a popular International Bazaar; this has historically been our largest fundraiser each year. The World Unity Fair is held in the spring, and there are three main ways to get involved: donate items, volunteer before or during the bazaar, and/or shop at the bazaar! To donate an item or volunteer for the event, please contact our Bazaar Coordinator.
We are currently in need of a Fundraising Coordinator. If you are interested, please see the information below and reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator with questions or to get involved!
The Business Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for helping identify local businesses to reach out to sponsorship opportunities, organizing a strategy to approach the businesses, organizing the solicitation materials, and coordinating sponsorship requests of local businesses. This position is currently vacant.
The Fundraising Coordinator will identify opportunities to raise money for FCIC, recruit volunteers to help with fundraising events, and coordinate and oversee any fundraising events. This position is currently vacant.
The Newsletter Editor will create and publish an electronic newsletter that tells our story and the stories of those who participate in, donate to, or benefit from our programs. The newsletter should include an article focusing on a program, interviews with program participants, beneficiaries, or donors, and a description of upcoming events. Publishing an e-newsletter is a team effort, and so the person should work closely with program leaders and FCIC officers.
The FAC Co-Chair will help organize FCIC’s monthly FAC potluck event, the summer BBQs, and the winter soup nights. They will be responsible for recruiting volunteers, keeping them updated of plans and needs for each FAC, and helping at the FACs. This position is currently vacant, and we are seeking volunteers.
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining FCIC’s social media presence. They will develop a social media strategy and identify ways to better engage with FCIC’s online (and prospective) audience. They will assist in marketing any FCIC events, fundraising drives, and other programming. This position is open and we are seeking volunteers.
GASP presenters share the culture, heritage, language, geography, and history of their countries with local school classrooms and other community groups. Student presenters often do not have cars, and need transportation to and from the local schools.
Although most of our programs currently have chairs, we are always looking for more volunteers to help! You can see all of our programs here and reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator for more information about helping out with a particular program!
If you have any questions about volunteering, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator for more information!
